MASTER PLAN FOR BELLEVUE !

Early in 2011 members of this association met with the City of Swan and successfully negotiated to put $300K
towards to develop a Master Plan for Bellevue after the $1.5million windfall to City of Swan budget from the sale of the Goodchild Oval .

Bellevue is criss crossed by Roe Highway, the rail freight line and the air noise corridor and has three separate planning authorities.

It is hoped that the plan will deal with these issues as well as the problem of remnant industrial zonings, extension of the electric passenger rail and provide a picture of how Bellevue will dovetail into the greater plan for the developing city of Midland as well as the rural area of Mundaring Shire.

A proposed high quality residential development of the caliber of Woodbridge Lakes overlooking 55 hectares of accessible public open space should attract high disposable incomes to the area further benefiting the economy of Midland.

Mundaring Shire and the Midland Office of the Western Australian Redevelopment Authority (formerly the MRA) will be encouraged to participate by the association

Formal engagement of the community should take place in 2012 with a workshop for the residents, ratepayers and businesses to input to the plan.
