Contact the new Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA)

Make sure you provide your name, address and a contact phone number on any email you send.

On 1st January 2012 the Midland Redevelopment Authority and all other Planning Authorities will be replaced with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority. Funnily the abbreviation for us will remain MRA !

So how does this affect us in Midland. Kieran Kinsella will no longer be with us but the Midland Office and many of the staff will remain to finish the work they started for Midland. This office will now report to a new CEO at the  Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.

A new website will be set up providing contact details. As soon as that is available we will link to it for you.

Again we point out that the new MRA would not normally be contacted about problems unless they were emanating from their property. However you may wish to contact the MRA to ask about future development or provide them with information. Please check their new web site (when it becomes available) prior to contacting them.

We will advise on the future of committees such as the MCERG on which we had representatives as soon as we know where these are going.

The Metropolitan Planning Authority Authority (MRA)has planning responsibilities for portions of Bellevue and liaises with the City of Swan. Click on the logo left to visit the MRA website and see which part of Bellevue they control. The MRA is both a planning agency and a land development agency preparing and selling land for development.  As provided by the Act the functions of the MRA are to plan, undertake, promote and coordinate the development of land in the defined redevelopment area.
